Post Doctoral Fellow – Psychiatry Outpatient & Inpatient

**This position is a two year fellowship starting in Summer 2022

Penn State Health and Milton S. Hershey Medical Center is excited to announce an opening in our APPIC Lifespan Neuropsychology Postdoctoral Fellowship Program with emphasis in Adult or Pediatric Neuropsychology. Neuropsychology is developing at Penn State Hershey under the new leadership of Professor A. M. Llorente. Opportunities for program development and professional growth including participation in the accreditation of a postdoctoral fellowship that will seek APA accreditation and a current APA-approved Psychology Internship Training Program. The selected candidate will reside within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. Although the fellowship is predominantly a clinical position, opportunities exist for scholarly productivity and teaching with one day dedicated to such endeavors. In addition, a whole day is dedicated to training and education to meet APA, Division 40 and ABPP Guidelines. Competency development will be in skills from birth through adulthood.

Responsibilities include evaluating a wide range of patients including adults (lifespan), children and adolescents (pediatric) presenting with attention problems, developmental disabilities, comorbid learning disorders, medical (e.g., cancer, genetic disorders, etc.) and neurological (e.g., brain tumors, concussions, TBIs, etc.) conditions, and psychiatric disorders. The postdoctoral fellow will work within the framework of a multidisciplinary team in collaboration with physicians and other medical professionals including but not limited to neurologists, oncologists, primary care providers, pediatricians, psychologists, and psychiatrists.

Participation in weekly psychiatry and behavioral health grand rounds and neuropsychology didactics is also required. Additional opportunities may include case conferences and tiered supervision of psychology interns and graduate externs. Requirements: PhD (preferred) or PsyD from an APA-approved clinical psychology graduate program; completion of a formal APA-approved psychology internship program along with training and experience in pediatric neuropsychology at the internship level meeting APA, Division 40 Criteria and graduate training in neuropsychology; license-eligibility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Psychology required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Experience with psychotherapy (adults; lifespan/children and adolescents; pediatric), specifically cognitive behavior therapy required.
Experience with completing neuropsychological assessments is required.
Research experience (e.g., participation in a research lab, publications and/or presentations of research) required.
