The Department of Neurology, along with the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Diseases (Biggs Institute), at the Long School of Medicine, UT Health San Antonio (UTHSA) is seeking a full-time Division Chief of clinical neuropsychology at the rank of Professor or Associate Professor with a strong track record in clinical care and research and preferably leadership experience. The selected candidate will receive salary support from and report to both the Chair of Neurology and the Director of the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Diseases.
This position involves leading an excellent team of neuropsychologists with broad clinical and research interests in a setting that includes a Clinical Neuropsychology fellowship, an NIA Funded Alzheimer Disease Research Center, robust surgical programs in epilepsy and deep brain stimulation and multidisciplinary clinics in ALS, FTD and movement disorders. A suitable candidate could be offered an endowed chair position and will receive a competitive package of salary, benefits and resources, consistent with University of Texas guidelines. They would be expected to ensure exceptional clinical care, undertake innovative collaborative research, and contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and clinical and translational research fellows. Fluency in Spanish and/or an interest in Hispanic health and bilingualism would be an added advantage although they are not required.
Candidates must be eligible for licensure in Texas and be board-certified or board-eligible (ABPP-CN).
