Job Description:
The New England Centenarian Study (NECS) is the largest study of people aged 100 and older and their families in the world. We are a dynamic group of physician researchers, statisticians and post graduate research associates with varied interests regarding exceptional longevity. The study is based at the Boston University School of Medicine. There are several different studies all related to Centenarians and their offspring being conducted. The NECS believes that cultural and social diversity of our faculty, staff, and students is vitally important to the distinction and excellence of our research and academic programs. To that end, we are especially eager to have colleagues join us who support our institutional commitment to ensuring BU is inclusive, equitable, diverse, and a place where all constituents can thrive.

The New England Centenarian Study recently received a NIH award titled ‘Resilience and Resistance to Alzheimer’s Disease in Centenarians and Offspring (RADCO)’ and is looking to hire a half time Research Manager for this exciting study. Under the supervision of the Principal Investigators and the Senior Research Manager, the research manager’s primary responsibilities include training and coordinating the efforts of the 10+ research assistants who perform recruitment, enrollment, and data collection of people ages 60 to 110+ years. The data collection emphasizes careful and detailed video home visit-based cognitive function assessments and therefore training in neuropsychological assessment and experience with training others in this realm is desirable.

Required Skills
Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred. Previous training or experience in neuropsychological assessment preferred; 1 yr experience on clinical project. Must be able to communicate well with colleagues, work as part of team.

We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
